Life-changing Emergency Housing

Habitat El Salvador and the Mayor's Office of Atiquizaya delivered 20 emergency homes to families affected by the passage of Tropical Storm Amanda, in the Municipality of Atiquizaya, in Ahuachapán.

The 20 emergency houses were built under international humanitarian response standards, complying with the Sphere Standards. The Sphere Standards were initially developed by non-governmental organizations, in conjunction with the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement and have become an important reference tool for national and international NGOs.
